Hi everyone,
As many of you will know, myself and our family suddenly lost my dad on the 26th of November 2025.
Me and my brother Perry have decided that in memory of our dad, we would like to raise awareness for simple health checks for men of all ages, as these 5 minutes check ups could make you aware of on underlying condition’s, issues you have been ignoring (as us men do), and possibly saves lives.
As many of you know, our dad was a keen cyclist and runner over the years competing in marathons, bike rides and other fitness events. This year he was planning to do a long distance challenge himself this year but unfortunately never got the chance.
In our Dad's member, myself and Perry have come up with the idea to Run/Cycle over 300 miles, averaging around 30 miles a day. The starting point will be Jacksdale, the village our Dad most recently lived in, and the finish line will be Perranporth Cornwall, our dads favourite place in the world. We'll be starting on the 1st August and aiming to be in Perranport for the 11th August, which would have been Dad's 63rd birthday.
Perranporth was a place we spent family holidays for many years and a place I have now lived for the past 5 years throughout summer, so it only seems right to finish the challenge where, where we will spread Dad's ashes.

We are fundraising for Blue Ribbon Foundation. A charity that that empowers and encourages men to take responsibility of their health & highlights the fact that men are suffering or tragically losing their lives from health problems that are avoidable if regular check up are done and providing support for men and family members across the country.
The event will be called - “Maz’s Mega Marathon”, After our late dad Andrew Colin Marriott but to many people “Maz”.
